Was Einstein right when he said...

"Life is an illusion but a very persistent one!" The Buddhist have said this same thing, for thousands of years. What if this is the case? What if, your world is as real as actor, on a movie set? What would your world look like then? Your world would look the same but your attitude about in might change. You might realize you are only "playing the character in the role" but you are NOT the character in role. What if, you have picked out your own personal story ahead of time. What if you picked out the heroes the villains, the lovers, our parents and our children in your own personal screen play? What if we have chosen to play ALL these roles in the past...many times? What if we make our Heaven and Hell?... Why would we keep coming back to this insanity, this drama?

There are thousands of juicy roles we love to play, Lover, Rebel, Prostitute, Detective, Saboteur, Addict, Rescuer, Slave, Judge, Gambler, Martyr, Thief, Poet, Priest, Fool, Virgin, Avenger, Beggar, Messiah, Mentor, Monk, Artist, Warrior, Mother, Father, Victim and Victimizer. to name just a few.

Before we talk about "Why" we chosen these and other roles, lets first talk about the illusion.

There is a difference in being John Wayne and playing John Wayne. They say, the interesting thing about John Wayne was he really believed he was "John Wayne." When he walked off the set he stayed in character. He truly became, what the perception of what "John Wayne." the character was all the time, on and off the set. Many of us have done the same thing too. We truly have created "Our Story" our image of who we are. We totally believe it's true. Like John Wayne we stay "in character" all the time. Some of these characters we have chosen are well for lack of better words pretty nasty. As for the stories, watch the news, many of us have chosen some really harsh stories. Hell on Earth.

Thus the shortest sentence in the Bible could be the most profound "Jesus wept" He cried not for himself but for the misery, people brought on themselves in their characters and stories. Jesus is one of many enlighten teachers that have chosen to incarnate to this planet, to help us move forward.

He reminded us that we are all spiritual creatures having a physical experience.

Ask anyone you just meet about themself, they will tell you all about "Their Story." They will tell you all about the character or characters they are now playing. Yes, we have been on the movie set so long we have forgotten that it's a dream, an illusion. It is no more real then "Disneyland." What if you were born there? Born IN Disney Land! What if you were born there in 1955 and never left? What if, Disneyland was the only world you ever knew? Then THAT fantasy world would be your only truth. Your only reality. The world outside Disneyland would be your illusion.

Welcome to Earth, one of the many "Disneylands" in the universe.

Can this be true? If it is, you really have only two simple choices to make.

1. Your life and story are real.

2. Your life is an illusion.

If you picked 1. don't read any farther. You love your story and your misery so much you don't want to leave it, so enjoy the mystery of your journey. Many people don't want to be awaken from their dream. Namaste my friend.

So if you picked 2. you believe your life is an illusion, like Einstein. Your next question might be why? Why do we keep coming back? Why are so many of our stories so crazy, hurtful and sad. Can we break the cycle? What can we do to stop the insanity, the drama? Do we even want to?

Next, the "why" we come back here to Earth school.
